DigeTekS grew from the computer support business started by Shane Brown, who now serves as the company’s CEO and Senior Consultant.
Shane began his technology career in local government, where he was responsible for a mainframe data system. He later became an IT director and helped redesign the organization’s technology environment into a more secure, distributed, and resilient system.
That experience taught him that good IT was not simply about fixing computers. Technology decisions affected employee productivity, operational continuity, public service, financial performance, and the security of sensitive information.
A defining moment came while Shane was conducting an IT security assessment for a bank. After one afternoon onsite, he handed the bank’s IT director a piece of paper containing the administrator’s password.
The discovery revealed a larger problem. Organizations could invest heavily in technology and still have serious security gaps hiding in plain sight. Business leaders often assumed those risks were being handled because they had no clear way to see or evaluate them.
That experience shaped the work that followed. DigeTekS developed around helping leaders understand what is really happening inside their technology environments, address overlooked risks, and make better decisions before a failure, breach, or audit exposes the problem.
Today, DigeTekS supports financial institutions, healthcare organizations, local governments, CPAs, wealth management firms, and other small to medium-sized businesses. Many operate under demanding security and compliance requirements where downtime, data loss, and weak controls can have consequences far beyond the IT department.
Technology has changed considerably over the years. The founding belief has not: business leaders deserve honest answers, clear recommendations, and systems that help protect what they have built.

DigeTekS has grown into a team that includes senior consultants, consultants, IT technicians, project management, operations, marketing, and accounting professionals.
Clients are supported by people who document their technology environment and become familiar with how their organization works. That team structure means clients do not have to rely on one person or repeatedly explain their systems every time they need assistance.
The team manages more than 2,000 endpoints and has served over 300 customers across DigeTekS service areas in Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Texas, Virginia, and Wyoming.
Serious technology and security problems are not always obvious. Sometimes it takes a closer look to uncover the risks, inefficiencies, and weak points that have been quietly working against your organization.
That belief helped shape DigeTekS, and it still guides how we approach every new client relationship.
